Although there might be a huge demand of
teaching children and young people on cultural differences, other cultures, on
working and acting in a multicultural environment, few is being done.
Scientific approaches on the issue often cope very reduced aspects,
practitioners prefer holding highly expensive seminars to company
CEOs.
This project is thought to be a forum for intercultural
trainers and scientists. It is a communication tool for exchange of ideas,
knowledge and training experience.
Through the Diary, you can, for example:
Your benefits: The Interactive Intercultural Diary (IID) is easy to use, non time-consuming, documentative, permitting access to a variety of active trainers and the latest news and information.
The IID is using one of the most common web formats, that of a simple "Guestbook". For the beginning, it will work through Guestbook function of my website offered by Geocities. You can write any kind of information here through just sending a message to the diary - short or long. There are virtually no limits in using this tool for improving communication amongst intercultural trainers. The simple guestbook format makes the Diary the most effective possible - everyone is able to handle it without any need of introduction. In addition, manual processing and editing is not necessary - I don´t have to continuously control the information flow because it´s all processed and put on the Web automatically! Just write a message to the Diary - and it will be immediately published on the web and be accessible for everyone interested.
Nevertheless, there are a few rules or basic principles to make the IID a useful exchange tool. Let´s call it the magic behavior patterns for successful internet exchange projects in general:

"A Thousand Ways to Save the Planet"
When the first concrete plans for the Expo 2000 in Hannover
came up in 1991, I interviewed the city’s chief planner in staff for the EXPO,
the author Dieter Eisfeld. “Mankind-Nature-Technology”, the ambicious-sounding
theme of that EXPO, obviously demands some awareness on future challenges. One
of my first thoughts about this was to create a pavilion that presents ideas
and approaches of many different kinds that could kind of “save the world”.
This might be educational and social projects, technological inventions and
products, philosophic ideas and so on.
...another "weird" project - coming
up soon on this page!
